SEO Metrics To Find Good Old Domains

LAST UPDATE: March 2019

PR, DA, PA, CF, TF,… If you know what those mean, you don’t need to read further. However if you don’t this blog post will shortly explain the metrics we use to find aged domains.

With all metrics the difficulty of increasing rank is progressive – this means it’s a lot easier to increase from 20 to 30 than from 70 to 80.

Google PageRank

PageRank is Google’s proprietary technology that indicates link popularity of a page from 1-10. It has fallen in importance for SEOs since the public data hasn’t been updated since late 2013.

MOZ Metrics

Domain Authority (DA), calculated from 0-100 – calculates how strong are links in terms of helping the domain rank for queries in Google.

Page Authority (PA), calculated from 0-100 – same as DA, only for a separate page on a domain.

Majestic SEO

Citation Flow (CF), calculated from 0-100 – is a number of predicting how influential a URL might be based on how many sites link to it.

Trust Flow (TF), calculated from 0-100 – is a number predicting how trustworthy a page is based on how trustworthy sites link to it.
