Easy Blog Networks System Update #9

It was another three weeks of very productive work so here’s a quick recap.

  • Added BacklinksIndexer plugin to popular.
  • Fixing add blog algorithm which caused issues for some power users.
  • Blog relocate – support staff can now easily move blogs from one server to another (in the case you’d like to change providers).
  • Added new hosting providers, HostVirtual and LeaseWeb.
  • Mail inbox for forwarded emails.
  • Read All button for Activity Log.
  • Added Services section.
  • Lots of other fixes and improvements on the back-end.

We’ve broken another milestone: there are now 2000 blogs hosted on EBN! It took us a few months to get to 1000 blogs but just over a month to get to 2000.

Things on the to-do list:

  • Fixing Clickbank’s 1-click upgrade (tests worked, live upgrade did not).
  • Adding more hosting providers.
  • We’re looking into options on how to add Majestic metrics.
  • Creating an API so Easy Blog Networks can be used by third party apps.
  • Creating blog presets so you don’t have to enter the same settings every time you install a blog.
  • Dropbox integration so you’ll be able to get your blog backups immediately uploaded to your disk.
  • Researching options for automatic DNS changes at your registrar (currently looking at GoDaddy, NameCheap, Dynadot).

Email Inbox for email forwards

From the beginning, we’ve received issues concerning email forwards. Some users had problems with forwarded mails, often because their email provider blocked our forwards. Because this is a very important feature, we wanted to find a solution that would work 100% of the time.

We were looking into many options and the best we found was to create an Inbox for all forwarded emails. This way, we can show you the emails when our system receives them, before they’re forwarded to your email.

Mail Inbox is found in the each blog’s WordPress Dashboard, under Tools.

All new blogs come with Mail Inbox activated by default. If you’d like to have it on any older blog, contact us and we’ll activate it for you.
